This class embraces the “Maker” theme that has inspired maker spaces around the world as well as the Maker Faire. Maker classes are where kids create their own working models, games and gadgets using raw and recycled materials and basic engineering and technology. Students design and make their own creations using their own vibrant creativity, inspired by open challenges, models and experimentation. Some projects involve using a computer interface (such as creating a physical game that is hooked to a computer for scoring). Students use tools and must be able to follow safety directions and work well individually.
